I am writing this letter in appreciation of the Empowerment Workshop that Sudha Setty organized for the Alliance for an Energy Efficient Economy team at its retreat that was held in Udaipur on 19 – 20th December 2019. Sudha has been persistent about organizing this workshop and has asked for two days of the team's time. I was very hesitant and skeptical as we had planned a few things to accomplish during our annual retreat. My skepticism was even higher because Sudha has said that she can't provide too many details about the Empowerment Workshop that we can share with the team and hence the team was going in cold knowing that it won't be work-related and it would allow us to reflect on our lives in some form or the other.
What happened during the workshop far exceeded my expectations. It was a bonding session, a therapy session and an intensely relaxing session as Sudha took the entire team through the paces using a combination of sparsely populated slides, videos and most importantly setting aside enough time for interactive and "sharing from our own life experience" sessions which allowed the team to relax and de-stress in a very nice manner. I don't think there was a single member of the team who was not deeply appreciative of Sudha, and she very deservedly got a standing ovation from the AEEE team. I know that many members, including myself, used to talk about 1-2 elements of the workshop, as Sudha used to remind us if we are practicing some of the techniques that we learned during the workshop. I know that I have always tried to meditate before, but because of one reason or the other, I never got around to practicing it. After the Empowerment workshop, I know that I started to meditate for about 10-15 minutes 2-3 times a week. That was a major learning and life-changing experience for me, and I am sure that each of the team members of AEEE took something away from the Empowerment workshop.
I would strongly encourage organizations to try organizing this Empowerment workshop as a "team-building or discovering yourself" session, and you have one of the best persons to help your team get maximum mileage out of that.

Sudha is a very perceptive person. I still remember our first coaching session. I had I problem with my clients. They didn’t want to implement my ideas. Because of that, I feel frustrated. After some questions, I’ve got an insight and a clear path of what to do. I’ve realized that it’s time to start my own project. I felt a release in my chest.
As a result after the session, I’ve heard twice from my business partner that I was right. She also wanted to implement all my past ideas. She started to listen to me carefully. Sudha, thank you very much for your sessions!"

This workshop made me so much more self-aware, especially in identifying personal strengths and overcoming limiting beliefs. Sudha’s willingness to share her own very personal stories on overcoming hardships in her life was encouraging and inspiring. Sudha was by turns a close friend, a confidant and a coach, and guided me in defining my path to achieving personal and professional success.

I attended personal upliftment training in 2019. The training was a whole new experience for me and encouraged me to introspect and deal with the emotions I have been avoiding. After attending the training, I am better equipped to understand and channelize my emotions both in personal and professional space. I felt the training sessions were well thought and the approach adopted by Sudha made me more comfortable to share my feelings despite large audience.

Learning to walk again is not easy at all. There are a lot of women like me who choose to give up their careers prioritising their families. Many of us wish to come back to work after a while. I am someone who returned to work after a long break of 5 years. Coming back to work is like learning to walk again. There are lot of changes by the time you come back. Be it technology, the way companies operate, the process is not easy. You doubt yourself, especially when you have to deal with harsh work environment.
When I took the empowerment training with Sudha it was a reforming experience. She bought us together for two days, invited us to explore within, and empathise with others. She made me feel confident in my strides, giving me my voice again. This message is for all the women out there, who need encouragement to take the first step to reclaim their life. Sudha, who is a real life superhero, and her empowerment training is what you need to transform yourself.

The Coronavirus pandemic has hit us hard and mental health should be a priority now more than ever! Looking inward with mindfulness to learn, heal and connect sometimes needs an extra push. Sudha Setty’s personal empowerment and upliftment workshop offers that opportunity. I have had the chance to experience the session first hand during my organizational offsite. I urge you to come join and stay inspired.

Sudha donned a new role at AEEE's offsite at Udaipur in the winter of 2019, where she carried out an Empowerment Workshop for colleagues. I was fortunate to be part of the group.
The course, pace and style of the empowerment workshop were really interesting. She was successful in making us realise, appreciate and take action on the inner world of our life. Her suggestions or tips to tame our "monkey mind" have been really helpful. The lessons from the workshop can't be more apt than in the present tough times of our life.
A key takeaway: Doing your best is more important than being the best! Sudha's words have really influenced my outlook. Thank you!
